I love school visits and talking to students, homeschool groups, and writers about my writing journey and process. I can do full-day or half-day assemblies or smaller presentations.
For elementary school kids, I focus on themed presentations that emotionally connect the kids to the world.
For older students, I offer writing workshops with prompts, exercises, power point slides, and videos. I will reference my published work as well as work published by other authors for examples.
Book-specific presentation: Heroes come in many shapes and sizes. But they all have one thing in common: they make the world a better place. (45-60 minutes for grades 3-5. Simplified version available for K-2)
Using The Hero Next Door as a focal point, this presentation will expand on the stories in the anthology and spark conversations about how heroes are within us, and how small acts of kindness can save the day. At the conclusion of this presentation, students will write about their own Hero Next Door.
I strive to be affordable for all budgets. If you decide to book a visit, you may pre-purchase my book from any local or online retailer or from my publisher. Price them as you wish for your buyers. Alternatively, I can work with a local book store to coordinate advance sales of my book, should you decide to exercise that option. I’d be happy to sign them while I’m there.
I would love to work with you to set a date in the coming school year. If you have questions, do not hesitate to write to me through the contact page.
